BEAUTIFUL BASE AREA
The Catalan farmhouse, which has nearly 4500sqm of gardens is bordered by an Apricot orchard, Olive grove and vine and palm tree nurseries. The house is situated approximately in the centre of a unique conservation area of fruit, herb and vegetable farms and tree nurseries called Les Jardins des St.Jacques. There is a lovely restaurant in walking distance from the farmhouse and 'Les Jardins SJ' is also home to a historic and picturesque village and two, first class vineyards.
The colourful and exotic city of Perpignan Right on the doorstep of Les Jardins des StJacques is the city of Perpignan. It takes two minutes by car and is a lovely walk from the farmhouse. It is hard to think how anyone would want for more from a city. It is full of sophisticated shops, restaurants, cafes, bars and music clubs. There are many interesting festivals held in the city during the year. The old quarter of the city is home to several multi-cultural food markets and full of fascinating Catalan architecture. The icing on the cake is that almost at every turn, the city is full of exotic palm trees.
