FRANKIE & MUM MOLLIE - APRIL 2008
FRANKIE - From the photographs that Terry had taken of his farmhouse and the surrounding area my mum and I felt very excited (and nervous) about the possibilities the area presented. I think it was the wonderful light and colours that attracted me the most.
The holiday gave me the opportunity to indulge myself with time to literally put paint to paper. Since then I have felt more confident in just having a go trying different techniques and styles that excite me. Terry was great in his positive have a go approach, he gave advice sensitively and always focused on the strengths not weaknesses.
The farm house was beautiful, relaxing and quiet, the food authentic and quite delicious. Our Hosts made us feel like we were at home and treated us as if we were family. It was a very special time.
MOLLIE - From being met by Terry at Perpignan airport to the end of an interesting and full week in this attractive place, every moment stimulated the senses.
Visits to Chateaux Roussillon, Collioure and Ceret surpassed by a day in Gaudi's Barcelona, providing inspriration which guided by Terry translated onto paper more than satisfying my amataur ambitions.
Top all this with the good company of our hosts, their excellent cuisine and wines, and its small wonder the experience is one to be recommended.
